The Cultural Association

The "Salvàmos Orolìo - Salvàmos sos Nuraghes" association was born after the spontaneous committee "Salvamos Nuraghe Orolio" promoted the petition on line for the nuraghe Orolio (or Madrone)' safeguard.
The Association's aim is to make aware Institutions, Associations and all the whole society about the risk of deterioration and collapse of Orolio and the others nuraghes in same conditions.
The Association also encourages knowledge, enhancement, protection and preservation of the archaeological, artistic, historic and environmental heritage of the town of Silanus.
From the educational point of view the Association even wish to work together with scholastic institutions to promote the heritage among students.
The Association wants even be a support, a matching and gathering point for the civic awareness growth for Silanus' whole cultural heritage.

The Prof. Giovanni Lilliu, Dean of Sardinian archaeologists is honorary member of the Association.
